SECTION 1: BOOKING & PAYMENTS
How do I book a rental?
Booking is quick and easy. Browse our rental catalog, select your items, choose your event date using our "Book by Date" calendar, and complete checkout online in minutes. You can also call us at 315-884-1498 for help.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. A deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your date and hold your equipment. The remaining balance is due before your delivery date.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) through our secure online checkout.
When is the remaining balance due?
Your remaining balance must be paid before delivery. You will receive automatic reminders as your event date approaches.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Deposits are non-refundable, but you will receive a raincheck valid for one full year that can be applied toward any future rental. We understand things happen — we work with you.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible. Summer weekends in Syracuse book out 4–8 weeks in advance, especially for graduation season (May–June) and holiday weekends. Earlier is always better.
Can I modify my order after booking?
Yes. You can add items or make changes to your order as long as availability allows. Contact us at least 48–72 hours before your event date to request changes.
SECTION 2: DELIVERY, SETUP & PICKUP
Does the price include delivery and setup?
Tent delivery and setup are included in the rental price for most locations in Onondaga County. Table and chair setup is available for an additional fee if requested. Please note: prices on our website do not include travel fees for locations outside our standard service area, which may vary.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Syracuse, Minoa, Cicero, Liverpool, Manlius, DeWitt, Camillus, Fayetteville, Baldwinsville, Skaneateles, and all surrounding Central New York communities. Call us to confirm your location.
When do you set up?
Setup times vary based on your event schedule, our delivery route, and your location. We coordinate delivery times with you in advance and make sure everything is set up and ready before your event begins.
Does setup time count toward my rental period?
No. The time our crew spends setting up does not count against your rental period. Your rental clock starts when setup is complete.
What if my event starts very early in the morning?
Early morning setups are absolutely available. We coordinate early delivery times in advance so everything is ready when your guests arrive. Just let us know your setup window when booking.
When do you pick up the equipment?
Pickup is scheduled after your event. We will coordinate a pickup time with you so it fits your schedule. Most rentals are picked up the same day or the following morning for evening events.
SECTION 3: EQUIPMENT, SAFETY & CLEANLINESS
Are your tents and equipment cleaned before delivery?
Absolutely. Every piece of equipment — from tents and tables to bounce houses and concession machines — is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and inspected before every rental. We take cleanliness and presentation seriously.
How often is equipment inspected for safety?
Every rental item is inspected before and after each event. Bounce houses and inflatables meet commercial safety standards and are checked for tears, leaks, and proper anchoring before use.
What if something breaks or gets damaged during my event?
Normal wear and tear is covered. If damage occurs due to misuse, negligence, or violation of rental guidelines, replacement or repair costs may apply. We will communicate clearly before your event about proper use.
Is your equipment safe for children?
Yes. All of our rental equipment meets appropriate safety standards. Bounce houses and water slides are commercial-grade, inspected before delivery, and come with usage guidelines. Adult supervision is always recommended for inflatables.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes. Friendly Party Rental is a fully insured party rental company serving Syracuse and Central New York. Our crew is trained and professional.
SECTION 4: BOUNCE HOUSES, INFLATABLES & POWER
How much does a bounce house rental cost in Syracuse?
Our bounce houses start at $199 for a standard inflatable. Waterslides range from $250–$499 depending on size. Combo packages (bounce house + waterslide) start at $500. Check our full inflatable catalog for pricing.
Do bounce houses need to stay plugged in the whole time?
Yes. Bounce houses are inflatable and require a constant air supply from an electric blower. They must remain plugged in throughout use. A standard 20-amp household outlet is needed within 100 feet of the unit.
What size are your bounce houses?
Sizes vary by unit — most standard bounce houses are approximately 13x13 ft to 15x15 ft. Exact dimensions are listed on each product page. Make sure to measure your yard space before booking, including gate width for access.
Do water slides need a water hookup?
Yes. A standard garden hose connection (outdoor spigot) is required near the setup area. We connect the hose to the water slide during setup. Customers are responsible for ensuring water access is available.
Can bounce houses be set up indoors?
Yes, as long as there is adequate ceiling height (minimum 14–16 ft depending on unit) and sufficient open floor space. Indoor setups work well for gyms, large halls, and event spaces. Contact us to confirm your space works.
How many children can use a bounce house at once?
Most standard bounce houses accommodate 6–8 children at one time (based on age and weight guidelines). Safety guidelines are provided with every rental. Adult supervision is required.
What happens if it rains on my event day?
Light rain doesn't necessarily cancel an event. Heavy rain, lightning, or high winds (over 25 mph) require inflatables to be shut down for safety. Contact us if severe weather is expected — we work with you on rescheduling when possible.
SECTION 5: PARKS, SURFACES, PERMITS & SPECIAL LOCATIONS
Can you set up at parks in Syracuse?
Yes! We set up at many parks throughout the Syracuse area, including Onondaga County parks. However, park permits may be required depending on the park and event size. The customer is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits. Call your local parks department to check requirements.
Do parks in Syracuse have electricity for bounce houses?
Many public parks do not have accessible electrical outlets. If you plan to rent a bounce house or inflatable at a park, a generator is required. We offer generator rentals starting at $125 — ask us when booking.
What surfaces can you set up tents and inflatables on?
We can set up on grass, pavement, turf, gravel, and concrete. Tents are staked into the ground on grass or weighted on hard surfaces. Please let us know your setup surface when booking so we can bring the right anchoring equipment.
Do I need a permit for a tent in my backyard?
For most private residential backyard events, no permit is needed. Large tents (20x30 and above) at commercial or public venues may require permits depending on your municipality. Customers are responsible for checking local requirements.
Can you do a free yard assessment before my event?
Yes! We offer free yard assessments for tent setups to make sure your space and access are a good fit. This is especially helpful for larger tents (30x30 and above). Call us at 315-884-1498 to schedule.
